Founder and owner of Meristem Tree Care and Plantscapes, Guy Tuccero, has a background in horticulture and plant sciences. With years of experience in tree care and lawn care, he sifted through his skill sets to find his true passions, and with that came the development of Meristem Tree Care and Plantscapes.

Over the years his passion for tree care has only intensified and he received his International Society of Arborists License (ISA) in 2018. He transitioned into a management role with a start-up landscaping business and after two years of managing crews, overseeing landscaping projects, and building the tree care division of the business he decided it was time to branch out and start his own practice. He started Meristem Treecare and Plantscapes in Colorado in the spring of 2020 and moved the family to the east coast in the fall of 2022. He obtained his Connecticut Commercial Arborist License in the spring of 2023.

Since founding Meristem, he has combined his love for organic landscaping and deep understanding of best practices for tree fertilization, tree injections, and small tree pruning to help others discover the beautify in their own backyard.

Guy lives in CT with his wife, daughter, newborn son and their two energetic vizslas. When he's not climbing trees or installing a landscape project, Guy spends his time with his family hiking, at a brewery enjoying a good beer under the sunshine, or finessing his gardening projects.
